Loudpseaker System
Loudspeaker comes with different diameters and system variations, like 12 inches 2 way systems, dual 15 inches 3 or 4 way system, but for professional audio standard it must be 10 inches 2 way minimum standard to use as a stage monitor ( 12 or 15 inches is more recommended ). As the FOH ( Front Of House ) needs a bigger sound reinforcement system which is counted by using total output power from the entire system, for example : a small scale indoor that is no bigger than 100ft wide would be enough to use 5.000 watts total sound reinforcement system which the setup is by using a pair of 2 way 15 inch loudspeakers, a pair of 18 inch subwoofers and 2 – 4 units stage active monitors.
For the larger area, the sound engineer must check the preparation like counting the width of the area , air humidity and the other factors that will affect your entire system setup, if this part is missed from the beginning, it will be a time bomb for your entire shows, you don’t want to hear about the crowds who are dissapointed and keep complaining about your gigs and setup.
If you are working the job in a big football stadium, you will feel nervous if you still a baby walker in this job, you will have to think about how the sound comes from the stage can be delivered to the farthest distance at the end of the field. How? nice question, there are several options to solve this problem. First, you can start to look in the nearest dealer for the line array loudspeaker system, there is many strong brands which providing this system like :
- Meyersound ( personally recommend this )
- VerTec by JBL Professional USA
- Aero System by DAS Audio Spain
- TTL Series by RCF Italy
- And many more
Line array is built for this purpose. Line array system provides you the solution to reach the audiences even at the farthest point on the area. The line array system setup usually uses a simple mathematics calculation like counting the angle of the sound source and adjusts it until it can reach the end of area.By now it was simplified into a computerized system ( EASE ) that design the system by preset or you can do it manually ( Only if you are experienced enough to do this ).
In the other hand, you can use a sort of delay speaker by calculating the sound source begins to transmit until before the sound is fading and you can add some speaker systems to the end of the point and deliver it again to the next point ( a delay processor must be provided to compensate the distance between speakers to get a coherent sound timing ).
At last, choosing the right system is important but the preparation is essential, its really like serving a cup of great coffee, first you prepare the inderegents, mix it with a right portion, last you brew it to achieve the best tasting sound from your audio system for your valueable customer.
It was take some night to finished this article and it just take 5 second to say thanks.
